For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. Genesis 18:19
A Godly father will not take any step without confirmation from God. Whatever steps any father take or didn’t take determines the future. In any nation where things are not working fine, it is a result of Fathers not taking their place. Any father that fails in his responsibility to teach his children the way of the Lord, such a father is destroying his future.
The only reason why God chose Abraham was that He is sure of continuity with Abraham, He is sure Abraham will teach his children His ways. If God is not confident that you can raise them in the way of the Lord, He cannot trust them with you. Are you teaching your children in the way of the Lord?
