Faith is in levels; the deeper your faith, the greater the dimensions of your blessings. You should really consider what faith did for the people in Hebrews 11. The faith that turned the old and weak Sarah into a baby carrier. The faith connected Sarah to the blessing, and the blessing did the work. Faith connected Abraham to the blessing; the blessing did the work. Faith connected Noah to the blessing; the blessing neutralized the effects of the flood on Noah. The Lord’s blessing neutralized Laban’s effects on Jacob; faith connected him.
So, how do I build my faith?
(Rom 10:17-19)
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.”
Paul was talking about the Israelites here; they had neglected what they had. He emphasized that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The first hearing is information and the second hearing is revelation.
Information does not necessarily equal to Revelation. That’s why one can be a professor of Christian Religious Knowledge and not be born again. You have information, know where scriptures are located, and so many things in the bible, but you are not born again. Meanwhile, receiving the blessing without being born again is impossible.
Brethren, the blessing is real. Don’t limit yourself to how much you are getting every month. When God spoke to Abraham and Abraham couldn’t see it, he asked him to come out. He told Abraham to come out of his apartment and look at the stars (Genesis 14). He helped his understanding to be able to see because, as far as you can see, it is the level to which you can receive.
There are things that God is speaking with you, but you are murmuring and complaining; you need to see. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God; that word of God is the Rhema of the revealed word of God. That means you hear and you are able to see. The Bible says in Isaiah chapter 2, “The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw….”
Therefore, when you are able to see the picture from the scripture, nobody will doubt what you see. If you see your faith still wavering, you have not seen. Jesus healed somebody and asked what did you see? He said, “I see men like trees.” This means he had not seen.
When the Bible says, “faith comes by hearing,” it isn’t “faith comes when you hear.” This means you have to hear it again and again. The more you hear, the more you see. When Abraham couldn’t see God, God told him to come out of his apartment, look up, and he’ll have as many children as the stars. Didn’t it happen? It happened! Do you know the number of Israel by population? I’m certain Abraham must be in awe of God’s promises of about four thousand years coming to pass. Every day anyone becomes born again; one is added to the seeds of Abraham.
Do you know that the birth of Jesus would have been delayed if Mary didn’t see? When the angel said she would have a child, she asked how it would happen. She was told that the power of the Most High would overshadow her. And she said, “I receive it, be it unto me according to your word.”
Are you seeing divine glory by light? When you come to church every year and declare that this is your year of glory and nothing short of glory will manifest in your life, the devil tries to push you. But you know what? When he pushes, you stand up! When you see anything contrary to the testimony of glory, you will say, No, keep quiet!
