The Power in the name of Jesus (Working in power) By Pst. Femi Leke

Genesis 1:26-28.

26-And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27-So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28-And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God created man in His own image, man have the Spirit of God in him but he couldn’t do exploit until verse 28, when God blessed and empowered man. So, authority without power makes you a toy.

You need authority and power, that is, God in you and God with you. When the scripture says, the Name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous runs into it, God is talking of power. So, the name of Jesus is a powerful name. When you pray in the name of Jesus, it is not the time to joke or play but the time to release the power in the name of Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:19.

19-For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Your nation, your world is waiting for you to manifest your sonship with adequate power. Crave, thirst for the power of God. Jacob got to the place of power, where he craved for power and he said he would not allow the angel to go until he blessed him. He is not asking for a car but he asked for power. You need to be empowered to have ability to discharge your responsivity. Responsibility without ability is frustration.

Mark 16:20.

20-And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

The Lord was with them and He confirmed the word with signs. Until the Lord with them dimension was present, no miracle could happen. Miracle is a deliberate act of God provoked by deliberate step of faith of men, it is the announcement of the presence of God.

Psalms 23:4-5.

4-Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5-Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

David said, he will fear no evil because he had God in him and God with him because the rod and staff of God are his comfort. Staff is for support but rod is for fight. Staff signifies authority and rod signifies power. When you don’t have both staff and rod, and a table is prepared before you, the enemy will take it from you.
