We started the year looking at the redemptive benefits one by one, we looked at Jehovah Nissi; our captain, the following month we looked at Jehovah Jireh; our provider, where we considered the mystery of kingdom prosperity according to the order of (Isaiah 48). It said that when he led them through the desert, they thirsted not. And this month we looked at Jehovah Raah; our shepherd. We will look at the redemptive benefits one by one in this year according to ( Isaiah 12:3) where it said with joy they draw water out of the well of salvation. So, we have been exploring the well of salvation looking at each content.
Let’s look at Matthew 16:18, ”And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
The gates of hell will attempt but they will not prevail. He said they will gather ( not that they will not gather) but not by me said the Lord of host. How will you deal with it? Challenges are real, wickedness is real, oppression is real but what is more real is our victory in Christ Jesus. Have you ever seen a man that is not challenged before? Then, he is not worth living because anything of value attracts opposition but Jesus said don’t worry, weep not I will give unto the keys to unlock. That means you will be in control not the circumstance; circumstances doesn’t have what it takes to dictates to you; you dictates. You are the one that says this is where I am going and this is where I will go nobody or devil will be able to stop you. Furthermore, according to the word of God, we identified the key to be the revelation of the truth; revelation cure frustrations. That key is also identified as the knowledge in Luke 11:52, ”Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered”.
We know that the key is revelation of the truth or the understanding of what to do. In our previous series, we said that key was delivered into our hands; because when Jesus spoke to them in (Matthew 16:18) He said, I will give you the keys; he didn’t say he already gave it. But he said I will give, it was a futuristic thing. When did he give them? He gave them when the holy ghost came because we know from the word of God in (John 16) where he said I have many things to tell you but you cannot bare them but howbeit, when the Spirit of truth comes; he will guide you. We said the gate of hell will attempt but Jesus has the key and he promised to give us. The key was delivered to us through the Holy Ghost. The moment you have the Holy Ghost in you which come the same time you become born again, you have the key!
”Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.” Mathew 27:50.
He yielded up the ghost and the Holy Ghost was released. Remember, Jesus said I will give you the key and the gate of grave ( the word hell is grave)will not be able to stop you. Jesus has the key and He gave it to them; when? When the Holy Ghost was given.
”I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” Revelation 1:18.
Jesus has the key and because Jesus is your friend, father, shepherd; he will not use that key against you. What link does that one have to do with wisdom? Wisdom is doing what is required to acquire what you desire. It is also the correct application of knowledge or applied revelation. The master knew that the gate of hell will try to stop us and he promised to give us the key and that key is able to open every doors and eventually he delivered that key unto us but why is it that the keys are not working? Jesus is not a fake master or shepherd. What then is the missing link? If indeed he promised to give us the key; like he said in my father’s house there are many mansions, he also delivered the key; then if the key is real why are people not enjoying the depth of the glory that was packaged for them? Why is it that in many nations the body of Christ is in a sorry state? If something is not working the way it should work then we should be concerned. Wisdom demands that this is where I am suppose to go, I have been making efforts I am not going there and when you continue to make the same effort it is high level of insanity; to do the same thing the same way and be expecting to get different results. So if you see that according to the word of God that what you find in the scripture you’re supposed to be enjoying certain amount of blessing and it is not manifesting, don’t fake it; religious hope will take you no where.
The issue is that if I have been able to discover what belongs to me; why is it not manifesting? The Bible says that the labour of the foolish wearies them all of them because they don’t know how. So how do I activate the key that will make the pit of hell to be truly sent far away from me? It is the application of the truth or knowledge; because the knowledge or revelation that you caught and you don’t apply won’t benefit you. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe; if you don’t believe will you be saved? No! Wisdom is then defined as laying hold on the keys of the kingdom of heaven and applying the same key to neutralise the effect of the gate of hell in your life. That means doing what the Lord says is what will make it to be qualified to be called the key indeed for it to produce results. To be continued….
