The Wisdom Path to Fulfilment of Destiny (Part III) By Pastor Femi Leke

Last week, we started a series of teaching where we looked at the wisdom part to fulfillment. According to the scriptures; one of the redemptive names of Jehovah is Jehovah Rapha which is our shepherd. The word shepherd and the word pastor is the same. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. PSALM 23:1

When the bible says in (Psalm 23:1) that the Lord is my shepherd; it means the Lord is my pastor or the Lord is my guide or my leader, or director. One of the things we need to pay attention to is the issue of wisdom; because one of the things that the Lord did is to display His wisdom against the devil (because if the devil knew, he would not have crucified the Lord of Glory). So do not be move by what you see now; because what is written is superior to what you’re seeing now (when Jesus was crucified, the man that was in charge said write there on the cross the king of Jews and the angry people that killed Him said, No! remove it now but write there; that He said He is the king of the Jews, but they were not able to change it) so what is written concerning you is settled if He resurrected truly; and indeed He resurrected and He is our shepherd.

”Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls” 1 PETER 2:24-25

Imagine somebody that was beaten to that level, to the extent that he could not carry the cross for the few kilometers that he trekked; but on the third day when He rose again they could not recognize Him. The main work of the shepherd out of many other works that they have is to guide the sheep, instruct the sheep and direct them in the way they will go.

”And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding” JEREMIAH 3:15

The word translated pastor here, is the same word translated shepherd in (Psalm 23:1) and they will feed you with knowledge and understanding. The principal work of the shepherd is to “feed the sheep”, feed them with what? Knowledge. Why did they need knowledge?

”Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? EZEKIEL 34:2

God was angry with the shepherds. Remember we said the word shepherd: means a leader or guide and so if you are not capable of playing the role of feeding the flock, then you are inviting the trouble of the owner of the flock. We are not called to religion; religion is just dogmatism. Religion makes people to look as if they are near yet they are so far; it’s deception; it’s a lie. To be continued…
