When God told Abraham to leave his father’s country for the land he was going to show him; what did you think welcomed him in the land? do you think angels were saying welcome? No, it was a famine that welcomed him in that land; that was why he tried to take off. And then Isaac had the same challenge when he was about to settle down to enjoy the promised land; famine came and he wanted to take off; but God said, wait in that same land; because that same land is where you will be blessed. And Isaac’s business survived; in the same year people were groaning of famine, was the same year he had his Rehoboth experience. So don’t be moved by what you see right now or by what the experts are saying, but be moved by the infallible proof of the word of God.
Hebrew 11:1-3: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2) for by it the elders obtained a good report.3) Through faith we understand that the world was framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
1) The word of God: The bible says; heaven and earth will pass away, but a dot of my word will not pass away without being fulfilled. So let our anchor be on the word of God. Nothing can change you; whatever the word of God cannot sort, nothing can sort it. So, pay attention to the word. 2peter 1:16-19 : (for we have not followed cunning devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17)For he received from God the father honour and glory, when they came such a voice to him From the excellent glory, this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased. 18) And this voice which came from heaven we heard it, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19) We have also a sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your heart.): Peter said we didn’t leave our fishing business to follow this carpenter(Jesus) in vain, we have not followed the stories of men; all these can’t be compared to the sure word of prophecy; not a drop of this word will fall to the ground without been fulfilled. Believe in the word of God, because it’s in the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: that’s the power to our laughter.
The Bible says, when Hannah was told that her case was settled; the bible said her countenance changed, even thou the Samuel she was expecting has not arrived but her countenance changed because she knew from the word of God; as proclaimed by the servant of God; that Samuel is settled. When Abraham was told that he was going to have a child, Sarah laughed looking at her age and biologically; it was impossible for her to conceive a baby, yet the bible says that: Sarah received the strength to conceive. With God all things are possible.
Romans. 1:14-15:
I am a debtor to the greek and to the babarians; both to the wise and unwise. 15) So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are in Rome also.16) for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that bellieveth; to the Jew first, and also to the greek. What’s the power of God unto salvation? The gospel; believing the gospel. What’s the gospel? the good news. The goodnews is about what? What Christ as done for us on the cross. All we need to do is believe God’s word and prove that our faith is real. There is no need of yours that’s not in the redemptive package: but it is only meant for those that believe. Only to those that believe, you have to believe to get into the blessing that God has given us.
