The battle over divine direction.
Whatsoever has value is not free. Salvation is the greatest gift you got after the fall of man and it cost God his only begotten son. So, anything of value always attracts a cost. The devil knows if you are connected to God or directed by God, no demon can stop you. He knows that the only way to stop you is to make you to misalign with divine direction or to disconnect from God. For example, when a branch of flower is detached from the stem, after some days the branch dries off and there is no amount of prayer you can pray to save that branch from dry except it is been attached to the stem.
The same way, if a man disconnects from the commandment of God, the only prayer that can save him is to firstly attach or connect back to God.
When it comes to the thing of God, the devil knows as long as the branch is connected to the stem, it will continue to enjoy all benefits, so the devil will do everything to disconnect you from God.
Isaiah 55:9
9-For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
A widow went to seek help from the prophet for her husband who was a debtor before he passed away. The prophet asked her what she had and instructed her to gather plenty pots and pour the remaining oil inside the pots, she did according to the instruction and she received her multiplication. God told Isaac to plough in the midst of dryness, Isaac did not disobey, he did exactly what God asked him to do and he had hundred folds result.
The devil knows, he does not have a chance as long as you are connected to God through his commandment, so he will do everything to frustrate or persecute you to abandon the way of God just like as he did in the garden of Eden. He knows that as long as Adam and Eve are connected to God, he is doomed, so he deceived them to disconnect from God. So, you must be sensitive because devil can make use of anyone around you to disconnect you from God.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2.
1-And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which i command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2-And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
John 3:16.
16- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The provision is that he has already given his son, not he will give, not that he is thinking of the time to give, but God has already given his son, but if you don’t believe, you won’t benefit from it. So, the condition should be met to have access to the provision.
Every provision of God has conditions to be met because it is a covenant word. Covenant means you have a role to be played. In Deuteronomy 28, the condition is to obey his commandments. To connect with God, you have to obey all his commandments and once you complied, the provision will manifest. So, the ministry of the devil is to confuse you not to do it.
The battle over divine direction is Persecution. To stay in line with the commandment of God will cost you something, it is not free because everything that has value is not free. You may be persecuted for not compromising your faith.
