THE CONVENANT OF PEACE (PART 3)
Previously, we looked at the covenant of peace and saw that it is real. God plans for his people according to his words: My plans for you are of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end. The covenant of peace is real; it cannot change. That is the plan of God for his people, and because our God cannot change, his promises will not change.
Last week we looked at the fact that the plan of God is for us to enjoy all-around peace in our marriage, business, and economy. Even concerning our health, we are supposed to enjoy all-around peace. Not that you wake up today. Whether it’s a headache tomorrow or stomach pain, the Bible says by his stripes we are healed, and the covenant of peace in your health is real. We also said that for us to enjoy all-around peace, we need wisdom because the Bible says wisdom is the principal thing, and in all, they get wisdom, knowledge, and understanding because wisdom will establish peace all around. You will never see a place where wisdom is absent and peace is present. They are twins; they go hand in hand. Wherever you see wisdom at work, you will also see peace at work, so it is something we need to take with all levels of seriousness.
Today we will look at divine confession for all-round peace, divine declaration for all-around peace, or settling your covenant of peace on the altar of prayer. You don’t need to look at what you don’t want because whatever you don’t confront has the right to remain. Whenever you notice anything around you that is not of God don’t let anybody or any expert deceive you into accepting the stethoscope. They will tell you to just manage it; it is going to be alright. It will just take time. That’s a lie because if it is only time, then things are supposed to naturally fix themselves. Everything that has been done has had certain actions taken to fix it, whether you are conscious of it or not. There is a secret behind this confession that we need to know because the only power the devil has, or the most dangerous weapon of the devil, is ignorance. The Bible says that my people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). If you have an understanding of any issues, you will be outstanding. So when you understand the necessity of peace, you will enjoy peace all around you.
Today we want to look at the use of our tongue because you cannot confess chaos while enjoying peace. Without the proper use of the tongue, it won’t be possible to enjoy peace. If you are confessing against the covenant of peace, it will be impossible for you to enjoy peace. The Bible says those who know their God will be strong and exploit others. Anyone who takes a step against the covenant of peace will not enjoy the provision of God.
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Behold, I have received the commandment to bless, and he has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.
