Wisdom is the stimulant of peace.
Today we want to look at wisdom as the stimulant of peace because, without wisdom, peace will be a mirage. All ten of the commandments that God gave us are about relationships. They are instructions to regulate the relationship between you and God, between you and yourself, and between you and others. So when Jesus came, he summarized the law into two 1) Love the Lord your God with all your heart. 2) Love your neighbor as yourself. It regulates the relationship between you and God because if you don’t have peace with God, you can’t have peace with others.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light, and there was light.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genesis 1:1-3&26.
From verses 1–3, there was a process by which God created the earth and filled it with his glory. God used his mind to create the universe you are seeing today, and up until now, there has never been a need to adjust anything. God did it perfectly, even though the Bible says that at the beginning it was empty, void, and dark, but He used his mind to finish it, and the Bible says that He looked at everything and said it was good.
Image of who? God. You were created with the same creative ability as God to be able to look at that situation and settle your mind to bring peace into it. You were created with the ability to look at your children and turn their lives around. You are to look at that situation and weep no more because your weeping would not change anything. The more you weep, the more confused you will be, and the more you weep, the more afraid you will be. Fear is a virus of the mind; it prevents the mind from getting to the promised land. The Bible says, Let them have dominion. What is dominion? Let them be in charge of the domain as governors, as managers. You’re created to manage, to govern, and to coordinate. You’re created in the image of God. God will not give you responsibility without the ability to carry out the responsibility.
For unto us a child is born; unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6.
Who is a counselor? Someone who can give you wisdom or knowledge of what to do You need to do something to acquire what you desire. In reality, peace is not something we pray for; peace is what we put in place through the proper use of our mind. That is why the Bible says that the administration shall be upon his shoulder. Every area of your life where you’re sweating is a result of a lack of proper use of your mind.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom, and with all that you get, get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7.
Wisdom is the major thing without wisdom peace is impossible.
Through wisdom is a house built, and by understanding it is established:
Proverb 24:3.
With knowledge, you’re able to bring down your enemy at any time.
He is also slothful in his work, like his brother, who is a great waster.
Proverb 18:19.
If you want to influence somebody, the Bible says that if the person looks at you and feels insecure, he won’t listen to you. Some people will say, I love Jesus, but my neighbor is suffering, and I can’t see anything to do about it. We need to apply wisdom so that we can enjoy peace like a river around us. The wisdom of God can overcome all opposition. What made a difference in the lives of Solomon and other kings who ruled in Israel was the understanding or application of the knowledge that he had, which is wisdom. What is wisdom? Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge. Without knowledge, there can be no wisdom; he applied wisdom and enjoyed rest.
But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurring.
1kings 5:4.
All things are delivered unto me of my Father, and no man knoweth the Son but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:27-28.
A lot of the time, we quote this scripture out of context. What was Jesus saying here? He said you cannot know God unless you know the Son, and you cannot know the Son unless the Son reveals himself to you. He started with the issue of knowledge because wisdom is the correct application of knowledge, and without knowledge, it is impossible. The Bible says to train up a child in the way he should go, and when he grows, he will not depart from it; that is knowledge. What is the wisdom part of it? You take responsibility. If you don’t train them and you spend that time going to all-night prayer, they will still be wayward. You have to take responsibility so that you won’t die as a liability. If you refuse to take responsibility, you will become a liability. Some nations are poor today because they refuse to take responsibility. You know that things are not working, and you’re managing them. Don’t manage them; do something. Take responsibility. You need your mind to do something. Your mind needs to be at peace. How will Jesus give you rest? The key to your rest is a working knowledge of the truth. You need the proper use of your mind, but if your mind is not at peace, you won’t be able to reason your way to the promised land. Let your mind be at peace. That challenge you’re going through, you can find the weak point and drill a hole and put the explosive of wisdom in it, and it will split open, but you need peace. That is why the devil always wants to paint a gloomy picture of your future; he wants you to look at that problem and magnify it, but you look at it, analyze it, and take a step. There is no mountain that light cannot melt. What is light? The knowledge of the truth Sincerity is not equal to reality. You can be sincere and still fail, so you look at the approach before doing anything. Peaceful coexistence is necessary, but you need to understand that there is a diversity of people; what you like, another person might not like. It requires wisdom to relate to people. Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. He said, “Come, let me show you. “I will teach you.” Don’t hate knowledge. Somebody said if you want to hide something from a black man, put it in a book and take it to the library, and they will never see it. They didn’t call the earlier apostles Christians because they had a big Bible, but they looked at their conduct and called them Christians. You are created to influence your world. The Bible says we are a city set on a hill because, no matter how religious you are, you won’t want to run after a failure. As a failure, you can influence anyone. Rise now and make a difference.
