How Do I Build My Faith? (4) – Pastor Femi Leke

Engage the blood of Jesus

Another way to build faith is by engaging the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus is our password. If you don’t engage the blood of Jesus, you won’t get access to the things of God. Why?

Remember that when man sinned, he was separated from the throne. Then, God asked Moses to build the temple, and they put up thick curtains. It was when Jesus shed his blood that the curtains came down and then the access. So, without the blood, you cannot have access. Engage the blood in your search for access.

Revelation 5:1-6
And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

The reference in Revelation proves that though Jesus is a lion. He needed to suffer and shed his blood as a sacrifice to gain access. The horns work to tear the barrier that is separating you from access, while the eyes will be used to see. This is necessary because it will be useless for the horn ministry when the eye ministry is faulty. Any time you want to study the scripture, you can have access by the blood of Jesus. Or whatsoever issue you might be passing through, all you need to do is to take a day off. Then, take your Bible, and pray. You can say: “Jesus, by your blood I gain access to the right step to take to deflate this issue.”

Whether it be work, marriage, or any other issue, as a man or woman, apply a practical approach, and engage the blood of Jesus. You will definitely have testimonies.

Keep Right Company

(Proverbs 13:20) He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Keep the company of faith-filled people to build faith. If you are loaded with faith, and you start walking with the wrong people, you are not helping yourself. Remember that Faith comes by hearing and it also goes by not hearing. Don’t engage friends that will not help you.

This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t mingle with people at work. But your close friends should not be people that don’t have faith because they have the advantage of gravity. A perfect illustration is that somebody that is up will have to do a lot of work to lift a man up. But someone that is down won’t be needing to do much to pull a man down. Therefore, it’s easier for them to bring you down, which you shouldn’t allow. Note that friendship should be by choice, not by force.
