Engage The Holy Spirit
How do I build my faith? One of the first ways to build one’s faith is to be in the spirit and engage the Holy Spirit.
Without the Holy Spirit, you’ll be operating in the realm of information and religion. Wherever you find yourself as a child of God, you are a witness to the reality of the blessing. Joseph in the Bible testifies to this.
How can you make a foreigner the head of a prison? If one considers intelligent reports or security sense, that’s a stupid thing to do. This is the maximum security prison in a nation. Imagine a foreigner not trained as a soldier but as a prisoner, being the head. What can the blessing not do?
Joseph went from the prison to the palace. The blessing of the Lord can do much more for you, but first, be in the spirit and engage the spirit.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
The main work of the devil is to blind the mind, hence the need to engage the spirit of revelation to counter that. The easiest way to keep people enslaved forever is to deprive them of access to their rights. But as for you, you have access. Engage the Holy Spirit!
Revelation 1:10 says, “I was in the spirit on the Lord’s day and I heard behind me a great voice of as of a trumpet.”
Apostle John had straight access by the Holy Ghost that none among the twelve had. As a revelation, he saw that this Jesus was the Messiah, though they did lots of things together. Though Peter proclaimed it through the Spirit of God, John the beloved saw it.
Therefore, the books written by John were aimed to address the believer about divinity. To date, no religion, including Judaism in Israel, can comprehend how a man born in Israel is called God. Even when other religions say otherwise, still, John proclaims, “In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, and the word was God.”
Indeed, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the revelation of the truth, ensured through the engagement of the Holy Spirit.
Maintain a Healthy Heart
Another way to build your faith is to maintain a healthy heart. To experience the beauty of faith, you must keep a clean, offence-free, sensitive and healthy heart. Remember that the resident place of faith is the heart; hence, your heart must be conducive.
Romans 12:1-2 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Clean your heart; prepare your heart. Get rid of offences. You can’t be holding on to an offence yet walk in faith; it’s not possible. Meanwhile, the Bible has forewarned that offences will be unavoidable. Therefore, don’t allow offence, delete it, and operate with the principle of advance forgiveness. This means that before people offend you, you have already forgiven them. Nothing deprives people of their blessings as offences do. Maintain a clean heart, offence-free and healthy.
